The Origin Story.
I hated the 9-5 life from day one, minute one.The commute. The traffic. The cubicles. The fluorescent lights. The politics.On paper, I did everything right. I was valedictorian and student president of my high school. I was the student president of my business school and graduated with honors. I won a high-stakes case competition modeled after The Apprentice and landed a prestigious role at an ad agency near Toronto.I had ticked every box and mastered the traditional path but I was miserable.It took me almost a decade to break free. I had the ambition. I knew I wanted out. But I was terrified. I didn't know how to acquire clients, how to structure a business, or how to build true leverage. So I just sort of...existed for 10 years bouncing from job to job. The story was always the same: wow the interviewer, perform for a month or two and then start to rebel and get fired.One book changed the trajectory of my life. The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris. Now it's a bit dated, but it showed me a better world. I wish I could say I had the courage to quit, but I was fired for the 4th time. That was the moment I decided to go all-in on making my own business work. Through multiple evictions, homelessness, and endless struggle, I gradually put the pieces together and figured out what actually works and what doesn’t.I don’t share this to glorify my story. In fact, I think it’s a tragedy. I wish I could build a time machine and give my 16-year-old self everything he needed to start his business back in high school and build a life on his terms.That's why today I operate a Private Venture Studio for executives, founders, and high-performing operators ready to escape the corporate grid and build a high-margin, low-overhead lifestyle business.
